A New Chapter

More than three decades ago, the Ewing family left the iconic Southfork Ranch. The property is set for an exciting new chapter. Centurion American Development Group currently owns the 241-acre estate.  Recently they received approval to develop 89 luxurious two-acre homesites. Near the famous mansion, they will break ground . This plan preserves the ranch’s rich history. It reinvigorates the site with modern amenities and residential spaces. Therefore, it will ensure that Southfork remains a beloved landmark in North Texas.

They designed the development with great respect for the ranch’s legacy. The ranch plans to maintain its status as a working ranch. This same ranch was portrayed in the “Dallas” TV show. Centurion will plan to keep Longhorn cattle on the property. They will continue offering tours and events. This help ensures that the essence of Southfork is preserved for future generations. In fact, there’s even talk of naming the streets after beloved characters from the show. It will be a nod to the ranch’s storied past.

The Ranch

Centurion’s plans will continue to extend beyond just residential development. The company envisions enhancing the tourism experience. They will build a 5,900-square-foot Southfork Mansion. Also, a 63,000-square-foot conference and event center, and a new rodeo arena will be built. This move will not only draw more visitors, but will also solidify Southfork Ranch. As a results, this will be premier destination in North Texas.

Southfork Ranch continues to see changes since the final episode of “Dallas” aired. Its significance will never waned. This iconic property will thrive. Eventually the charm of its past will meet the needs of the present. As the project moves forward, we will see this legendary site continues to evolve.
