This north Dallas estate is lavish yet familiar. You’ve seen something like this before. And no, the President of the United States doesn’t live here. But you could — if you’ve got $40 million to spare. Dubbed ‘The White House of Dallas,’ the mansion at 10777 Strait Lane is back on the market.
The roughly 18,000-square-foot property features six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and four partial baths. The Palladian Neoclassical home, built in 1996, was designed by Dallas architect Robbie Fusch. The estate’s grandeur is immediately evident with French limestone coupled with imported marble. An 18th-century Louis XV marble fireplace serves as the centerpiece of the home’s blue drawing room, adding a touch of historical elegance.

A History of Ownership and Value
The Dallas White House was listed in 2017 for $11 million and purchased in 2018 by Dallas businessman, billionaire, and political donor Toby Neugebauer for an undisclosed price the following year. Neugebauer, the son of a former West Texas Republican congressman, co-founded Quantum Energy Partners, an energy private equity firm headquartered in Houston. He is also part of the ownership group for Austin F.C., the city’s Major League Soccer club.
Neugebauer is well-known for his ill-fated fintech startup, GloriFi. Touted as a conservative alternative for those who felt alienated by Wall Street, GloriFi struggled and filed for bankruptcy in 2023 despite backing from GOP megadonors. At that time, the “White House” served as the firm’s base of operations.
Before Neugebauer purchased the property, Dallas businessman Ralph Oats and his wife Cathy had owned the “White House” since 2001. The Oats couple purchased the home from Charles and Jane Hanson.
Current Market Status
This beautiful White House was the second most expensive listing in Texas this month, according to the Houston Association of Realtors. Further more, there are four homes in the Dallas area making it into the top 10. After all, the listing of this estate underscores the robust luxury market in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, providing a glimpse into the opulent lifestyles within reach for those with the means.
